We will carry out the [CFD-based development](https://www.jabergundpartner.com/en/engineering/numerical-simulation/) **of the hydraulics** for the two vertical Kaplan turbines which will be used **and as well the model test**. The particular challenge lies in the design of a vertical turbine that is as efficient and compact as possible, with relatively high specific high-speed and highly restricted geometry ratios. ![](https://www.jabergundpartner.com/fileadmin/_processed_/5/0/csm_cfd_kaplan_turbine_001_1920_1280_16f4419d7e.webp) With an output of 11 megawatts, this modern Hydropower plant will generate about 54 million kilowatt hours of green, CO2-free electricity annually and feed it directly into the regional grid.
