It is known for its impact on turbomachinery, pump, oil & gas, petrochemical, power, aerospace, chemical and water industries. [Stefan Höller](https://www.jabergundpartner.com/en/about-us/our-consultants/#c136) will talk about the following theme: *“Advanced numerical and experimental investigation for API centrifugal flow bowl diffuser pump: a) peak efficiency and head curve stability, b) 4-quadrant behaviour”*. His contribution shows how through appropriate and efficient application of modern CFD methods in combination with experimental investigations the tasks of a stable head curve, high efficiency, good cavitation performance and a minimal pump size can be achieved. The lecture shows also that the chosen design method confirms the remarkable match of the CFD-predicted and experimentally tested pump performance and that the chosen numerical approach is capable to investigate the 4-quadrant behaviour of a centrifugal pumps as well.
