pump.ing. is an extra-occupational distance learning study course for pump-specific specialist knowledge on technology, operation and system.
In every system, correct functioning of pump aggregates is of highest importance, as pump failures repeatedly lead to system and machine downtimes, which cause quite considerable costs.
Restructuring and focussing of corporate activities on core competences have led to the outsourcing of maintenance and service areas to special service pools and/or external companies. As a result of the permanent further development of maintenance strategies, away from fixed revision cycles to condition-related maintenance, significance of condition analysis is rapidly growing. Pump know-how is becoming more and more important, and it is our task to equip experts with this special knowledge
In order to be able to correctly evaluate the operational and maintenance state of a pump, quite high levels of technical knowledge as well as operational experience are required, which actually cannot but be acquired by means of many years of practical work in industrial entities.
For manufacturers as well – as far as distribution, conception, marketing and development are concerned – importance of customer contacts is growing steadily. There is increasing specialisation of requirements operators have regarding their plants and consequently also regarding pumps and pump providers – operating engineers, service points, system designers and manufacturers place particular emphasis on consulting and exchange of experiences with highly qualified pump experts.
Hence, the call to offer a study course for “pump experts” which provides all this knowledge becomes louder and louder. And this is, where our staff development programme – the study course for “pump engineer” or “pump technician” – can help.
