We are very pleased to announce that we have been awarded the contract for the hydraulic development and the model test for a Mur power plant north of Graz.
We will carry out the CFD-based development of the hydraulics for the two vertical Kaplan turbines which will be used and as well the model test.
The particular challenge lies in the design of a vertical turbine that is as efficient and compact as possible, with relatively high specific high-speed and highly restricted geometry ratios.
With an output of 11 megawatts, this modern Hydropower plant will generate about 54 million kilowatt hours of green, CO2-free electricity annually and feed it directly into the regional grid.
