Investigation and modification

of a fan for the automotive industry

For an automotive supplier, Jaberg & Partner carried out a CFD analysis of a series product of a fan.

In addition to the flow analysis of the existing product, the feasibility of a dual-outlet housing for a special cooling application was to be examined. Particular attention had to be paid to the volume flow distribution of the two outlets and any transient flow effects that might occur.

In close cooperation with the client, the housing geometry was modified in such a way that the high requirements of the end customer could ultimately be met.
