The international conference will take place from 22 to 24 October 2025 in Thessaloniki and is considered one of the most important meeting places for the hydropower industry.

We are delighted that Jaberg & Partner has been given the opportunity to contribute a paper to the conference. Our presentation “Design adaptation of Francis runners of existing power plants for the future operation at reduced flow due to climatic conditions” (Session 6: Hydraulic machinery – 2, Wednesday 22 October) will discuss how existing hydropower plants can be adapted to the effects of climate change through changes in operational management.

On the example of various reference projects in the one to two-digit Megawatt-range, this publication shows how customized runners can be designed to improve the performance and the operation conditions at reduced flow and/or head due to climatic conditions.
