We are pleased to contribute a technical presentation to the programme! Stefan Höller will talk about the following theme: “Advanced numerical and experimental investigation for API centrifugal flow bowl diffuser pump: a) peak efficiency and head curve stability, b) 4-quadrant behaviour”.
His contribution shows how through appropriate and efficient application of modern CFD methods in combination with experimental investigations the tasks of a stable head curve, high efficiency, good cavitation performance and a minimal pump size can be achieved.
The lecture shows also that the chosen design method confirms the remarkable match of the CFD-predicted and experimentally tested pump performance and that the chosen numerical approach is capable to investigate the 4-quadrant behaviour of a centrifugal pumps as well.
