The 25th Practitioners' Conference Graz "Pumps in Process Engineering, Power Plant and Wastewater Technology" took place from 6 to 8 September 2021 at Congress Graz. "In keeping with the trend of the times, digitalisation was addressed in several presentations - especially also from the operator side - and lively discussions were held with the proven experts in the auditorium. Digitisation is seen as a tool development that has been ongoing for a long time and is accelerating rapidly, supplementing the still indispensable classic pump function and thus making it more reliable, plannable and safe," organiser Professor Helmut Jaberg summarises this important aspect of the anniversary conference.
For the second time, the conference was additionally broadcast online with professional lively image direction from different perspectives. Three lectures were played remotely, thus enabling the - as usual - open and lively discussion even beyond the conference hall. Of the 140 participants, 26 took up the online offer for the Graz practitioners' conference.
The glamorous dinner in the representative rooms of Graz Castle at the invitation of Governor Hermann Schützenhöfer, laboratory tours at the Institute of Hydraulic Fluid Machinery at Graz University of Technology, historical walks through the old town and the festive reception in the Graz City Museum by Mayor Siegfried Nagl brought the three demanding conference days in the Styrian capital of delights to a pleasant end.
